From surplus to purpose

We love a positive story and singing from the roof tops about the work of wonderful people in our shared community. So we'd like to say a huge thank you to the team at IQ in IT - Your Technology Partner (again!!).

Always there and always kind, using their powers for good. IQ in IT tirelessly support our whole Kingston CF staff and volunteer team with SharePoint support, Cybersecurity advice, team onboarding and much, much, more.

When our new team members Shelley Heath and Justine Aldous joined our Kingston Charitable Foundation team in May of this year, we were very kindly gifted incredible pre-loved laptops by #Computers4Charity for each of them which were then set up by IQ in IT.

Unfortunately one laptop developed an irreversible sound fault and so was no longer fit for our online meetings - we all work remotely to keep costs down and maximise the donations we receive.

Always keen to adhere to our green credentials, we knew this laptop could be wonderful for someone else and the thoughts of our CEO, Hicky Kingsbury immediately went to our friends and Kingston CF grant recipients, Save The World Club (who have an amazing Circulatory, where all kinds of other wonderful donations go to become someone's new treasure; a true Aladdin's cave).

Thanks to Louis Londono and Charles Damien Manuelpillai of IQ in IT, our colleague Justine Belcher was able to deliver a clean laptop to Des Kay, Save the World Club's Founder and Trustee, this week. From surplus to purpose, this laptop now has another life on the reception desk for one of their volunteers to use.
